Mr. Rosewood named Small Business of the Year
NORWALK — Mr. Rosewood Family Restaurant in Norwalk has been named the 2026 Small Business of the Year for California’s 30th Senate District by state Sen. Bob Archuleta.
Owners Jason Perez and Lizeth Puentes were honored May 13 during a California Small Business Development Center Network recognition dinner in Sacramento and were recognized the following day on the Senate floor at the State Capitol.
Archuleta praised the restaurant for its community impact and entrepreneurial success.
“Small businesses are the heart of our communities, and Mr. Rosewood Family Restaurant, in the City of Norwalk, represents the very best of the entrepreneurial spirit in the 30th Senate District,” Archuleta said in a statement. “Jason Perez and Lizeth Puentes have built more than a successful restaurant — they have created a welcoming gathering place for families and individuals who enjoy a good meal in an inviting environment.”
The recognition was presented in partnership with the California Small Business Development Center Network, which provides counseling, training and technical assistance to small business owners and entrepreneurs throughout the state.
Archuleta also highlighted the broader role small businesses play in local economies.
“Local restaurants like Mr. Rosewood Family Restaurant are cornerstones of our neighborhoods,” he said. “When we support small businesses, we support working families, local jobs, and the economic vitality of our communities.”
The annual Small Business of the Year recognition honors businesses from legislative districts across California that demonstrate leadership, perseverance and community impact.
