NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 NORWALK HOUSING AUTHORITY ANNUAL AGENCY PLAN
PUBLIC HEARING AND
45 DAY PUBLIC REVIEW PERIOD

Place: City Council Chambers, Norwalk City Hall, 12700 Norwalk Boulevard, Norwalk, CA 90650
Description: The Housing Authority of the City of Norwalk will conduct a public hearing to consider the adoption of the proposed Norwalk Housing Authority Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Public Housing Annual Agency Plan. The proposed plan includes:
• Continued implementation of the
Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and intent to increase the use of Project Based assistance.
• Progress in meeting goals described in
the 5-Year Plan.
The 5-Year and Annual Public Housing Authority (PHA) Plans provide a ready source for interested parties to locate basic PHA policies, rules, and requirements concerning the PHA’s operations, programs, and services, including changes to these policies, and informs HUD, families served by the PHA, and members of the public of the PHA’s mission, goals and objectives for serving the needs of low-income, very low-income, and extremely low-income families. These documents are required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The proposed Plan will be available to the public for review and comment starting March 2, 2026 through April 17, 2026 on the City’s website at https://www.norwalk.org/departments_services/community_development/housing_authority.php or during normal business hours at the following locations:
• City of Norwalk Housing Authority,
12700 Norwalk Blvd, Room 12, Norwalk, CA 90650
• City of Norwalk website and the City’s
Social Service Center, 11929 Alondra Blvd, Norwalk, CA 90650
Public Comment: Interested persons are invited to attend this hearing and be heard regarding this matter. The agenda report for the above-described project may be reviewed at the City’s webpage at: https://www.norwalk.org/government/agenda_minutes_and_videos.php. Written comments may be submitted to the City Council prior to the time set for the hearing. Address written comments: Attention City Clerk at the address noted above or by email to Clerk@norwalkca.gov. You may watch the meeting on Charter Channel 3, Verizon Fios Channel 32, or livestream through the City’s website. If you challenge the proposed matter, you may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered prior to the public hearing.
