Zombie Prom to bring campy musical comedy to Cerritos College stage
NORWALK — Cerritos College will present Zombie Prom, a high-energy musical comedy set in the atomic 1950s, at its Performing Arts Center in May.
The production follows the story of Toffee, a wholesome high school student, and her rebellious boyfriend, who returns from a nuclear waste site as a glowing zombie determined to win her back. Set at the fictional Enrico Fermi High, the show blends romance, satire and exaggerated humor in a parody of classic teen films and atomic-era horror.
Featuring original songs inspired by 1950s music, Zombie Prom is described as a lively and over-the-top theatrical experience that leans into camp and nostalgia.
Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. May 7, 8 and 9, with a 2 p.m. matinee on May 10 at the Cerritos College Performing Arts Center, 11110 Alondra Blvd.
Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for students, seniors, staff, military and children ages 5 to 12, and $10 for Cerritos College students with a valid ASCC sticker. Children under 5 are not permitted.
Tickets are available online through the Cerritos College Performing Arts Center box office.
