Norwalk rental prices drop, but only by 0.5%

NORWALK — Norwalk rents have declined 0.5% over the past month, but have been relatively flat at 0.2% in comparison to the same time last year, according to statistics released today by Apartment List.


Currently, median rents in Norwalk stand at $1,520 for a one-bedroom apartment and $1,960 for a two-bedroom.


Norwalk's year-over-year rent growth lags the state average of 1.3%, as well as the national average of 1.1%.


Norwalk’s average two-bedroom rent is more expensive than several other cities, including Glendale ($1,800) and Santa Ana ($1,860).
