Planet Fitness gym opening next week in Norwalk

NORWALK – Planet Fitness, one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the U.S., is opening a new location in Norwalk at 12832 Rosecrans Ave.


Planet Fitness is celebrating the grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 3 pm and will host giveaways and raffles from 5-7 pm including free Planet Fitness t-shirts, a 1-year Black Card membership and more prizes.


Guests can also enjoy visits from the Power 106 and KDAY Street teams, complimentary food, music and Planet Fitness will make a $2,500 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Long Beach during a check presentation.


The Boys & Girls Club of Long beach is a non-profit organization working to help youth of all background, with a special concern for those who need it most, develop the qualities to become responsible citizens and leaders.


The new facility boasts 19,000 sq. feet and offers state of the art cardio machines and strength equipment, 30-Minute Express Circuit, PF360, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, numerous flat screen televisions, HydroMassage loungers, massage chairs, tanning booths, Total Body Enhancement booths, and more.


The new facility is open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.


“We’re thrilled to bring our Judgement Free fitness experience to Norwalk, and we encourage everyone to come check out the new club, meet our friendly staff, get a tour and see what the Judgement Free Zone is all about,” said Joe Bernatowicz, Planet Fitness franchisee.


Planet Fitness provides free pizza on the first Monday of every month, and free bagels on the second Tuesday of every month while supplies last, as a reminder that “it’s okay to treat yourself every once in a while.”


The PF Black Card membership, which is $21.99 a month, includes additional amenities such as the ability to bring a guest every day at no additional charge, access to all 1,600+ Planet Fitness locations, as well as access to massage beds and chairs and tanning, among other benefits.
