NORWALK – A member of the Cerritos College men's basketball team from 2013-15, guard Micah Winn has signed with Western Washington University.
Winn, a two-time 1st Team All-South Coast Conference selection, will join another former Falcon, Tyler Payne, with the Vikings and have two seasons of eligibility.
As a sophomore for the Falcons, Winn led the team with a 15.4 scoring average, which included 11 20-point games and a 33-point performance against College of the Desert.
He also netted 50 three-pointers and shot 81% from the free throw line, while accounting for 21 games in which he scored in double figures. Winn was named the team's Most Valuable Player that year.
During his freshman campaign, Winn was voted by his teammates as their Most Improved Player and one of their captains after averaging 9.5 points a game.
Winn will be joining a Vikings team that went 25-6 last season and won the Great Northwest Athletic Conference championship. They qualified for the NCAA Division II West Regional, but were defeated in the first round by the University of San Diego.
