Project Description: For the Planning Commission to consider the following application filed by Alfredo Lopez:
Conditional Use Permit No. 2026-05 - A request for the Planning Commission to modify Conditional Use Permit No. 709 by making the required findings of Public Convenience or Necessity for a California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Type 48 (On-Sale General Public Premises) License in order to reinstate the sale of beer, wine, and distilled spirits for consumption on the premises where sold for a 1,690 square foot bar and billiards establishment within an existing multi-tenant shopping center located at 10632 Imperial Highway (also known as Assessor’s Parcel Number [APN] 8051-012-025), within the Restricted Commercial (C-1) Zone.
Conditional Use Permit No. 709 was approved for the operation of a bar and billiards establishment by the City Council on May 20, 1997 (Resolution No. 4498).
Environmental Review Information: Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), this project will not have a significant effect on the environment per Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) of the CEQA Guidelines. Section 15301 consists of the operation involving negligible expansion of existing use.
Public Comment: Interested persons are invited to attend this hearing and be heard regarding this matter. Written comments may be submitted to the Community Development Department prior to the time set for the hearing. Address written comments: Attention: Community Development Department at the address noted above or by email to planning@norwalkca.gov. You may watch the meeting from home on Charter Channel 3, Verizon Fios Channel 32, or livestream through the City’s website. If you challenge the proposed matter, you may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered prior to the public hearing.
