You are hereby notified of the provisions of Family Code sections 7860-7864, which provide the following:
1. At the beginning of the proceeding, the court will consider whether to appoint counsel. If the court finds that the interests of the child(ren) require representation by counsel, the court shall appoint counsel to represent the child(ren), whether or not the child(ren) is/are able to afford counsel. The child(ren) shall not be present in court unless the child(ren) request(s) it, or the court so orders it.
2. If a parent appears without counsel and is unable to afford counsel, the court shall appoint counsel for the parent, unless the parent knowingly and intelligently waives the right to be represented by counsel. The court will not appoint the same counsel to represent both the child(ren) and their parent.
3. The court may appoint either the public defender or private counsel. If private counsel is appointed, he or she will receive a reasonable sum for compensation and expenses, the amount of which will be determined by the court. The amount must be paid by the real parties in interest, but not by the child(ren), in such proportions as the court believes to be just. However, if t he court finds that any of the real parties in interest cannot afford counsel, the amount will be paid by the county.
4. The court may continue the proceeding for not more than 30 days as necessary to appoint counsel and to enable counsel to become acquainted with the case.

CHILD’S FATHER HAS NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN HER LIFE SINCE APRIL, 18 2017. AUBREY’S MOTHER, RUTH RAMIREZ ROMERO, AND MYSELF HAVE DONE MULTIPLE SEARCHES TO ATTEMPT TO LOCATE HIS WHEREABOUTS BUT HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL. WE HAVE ALSO PARTNERED IN THE PAST WITH ORANCE COUNTY CHILD SUPPORT SERVICES TO LOCATE HIM BUT THERE HAS BEEN NO RESULTS FOUND. I HAVE BEEN ASKED BY THE COURT TO FILE TO TERMINATE PARENTAL RIGHTS TO BE ABLE TO FINALIZE THE STEPPARENT ADOPTION. THE COURT HAS COMPLETED THEIR INVASTIGATION AND HAS BEEN APPROVED. CASE NUMBER 25AD000151.
