NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ORDINANCE NO. 25-1763 / ZONING TEXT AMENDMENT NO. 2025-02

Project Description: The City Council of the City of Norwalk will conduct a public hearing to consider adoption of Ordinance No. 25-1763 / Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) No. 2025-02 to amend Title 17 of the Norwalk Municipal Code (NMC) to add lot consolidation incentives to comply with the adopted 2021-2029 Housing Element.

Environmental Review Information: Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), this Ordinance will qualify for exemption under Section 15061(b)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines. It can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the adoption of this ordinance may have a significant effect on the environment because the ordinance merely implements provisions in compliance with state law and the adopted 2021-2029 Housing Element. The proposed text amendment modifies Title 17 of the NMC. Therefore, the proposed project is exempt from CEQA under the common sense exemption.

Public Comment: Interested persons are invited to attend this hearing and be heard regarding this matter. Written comments may be submitted to the City Council prior to the time set for the hearing. You may watch the meeting from home on Charter Channel 3, Verizon Fios Channel 32, or livestream through the City’s website. If you challenge the proposed matter, you may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered prior to the public hearing.
