PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Norwalk is inviting Social Service Agencies and/or interested non-profit groups who provide support services to residents of the City of Norwalk to submit applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. Applications are available on the City of Norwalk website at: https://www.norwalk.org/city-hall/departments/finance/purchasing/city-of-norwalk-planetbids-open-bids-and-rfps, and also at Norwalk City Hall - CDBG, 12700 Norwalk Blvd., Room 12, Norwalk, CA 90650 beginning Tuesday, November 10, 2025.

CDBG funds may be used for the provision of social services (including labor, supplies, and materials), for activities such as job training, crime prevention, childcare, health, drug abuse, education programs, energy conservation, senior citizens programs, transportation services, or services for homeless persons.

To be eligible for CDBG assistance, the service must be a continuation of a social service program funded by the City of Norwalk’s CDBG program in the previous program year, new service, or quantifiable increase in the level of an existing service above which has been provided with State or Local funds in the previous 12 calendar months.

Applications must be completed and returned no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2025, to the City of Norwalk, Community Development Department, Attn: Rosio Medina, 12700 Norwalk Blvd., Room 12, Norwalk, CA 90650.
