NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Place: City Council Chambers, Norwalk City Hall, 12700 Norwalk Boulevard, Norwalk, CA 90650
Description: The City Council of the City of Norwalk will conduct a public hearing to consider the adoption of an ordinance establishing an expedited and streamlined permitting process for electric vehicle charging stations. Pursuant to Assembly Bill (AB) 1236, the proposed ordinance includes the adoption of a standardized checklist outlining the necessary requirements for permit applications. Applications that meet the criteria set forth in the checklist will be eligible for expedited review in accordance with State law. The proposed Ordinance will establish Chapter 15.54 (Electric Vehicle Charging) as part of Title 15 (Buildings and Construction) of the Norwalk Municipal Code.
Public Comment: Interested persons are invited to attend this hearing and be heard regarding this matter. Written comments may be submitted to the City Council prior to the time set for the hearing. Address written comments: Attention City Clerk at the address noted above or by email to Clerk@norwalkca.gov. You may watch the meeting on Charter Channel 3, Verizon Fios Channel 32, or livestream through the City’s website. If you challenge the proposed matter, you may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered prior to the public hearing.
