Project Description: For the Planning Commission to consider, as an advisory board to the City Council, Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) No. 2025-02 to amend Title 17 of the Norwalk Municipal Code (NMC) to update and include a new lot consolidation incentives section to reflect current changes made to state law and in compliance with the adopted 2021-2029 Housing Element.
Environmental Review Information: Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), this Ordinance will qualify for exemption under Section 15061(b)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines in that it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the adoption of this ordinance may have a significant effect on the environment because the ordinance merely implements provisions in compliance with state law and the adopted 2021-2029 Housing Element. The proposed text amendment modifies Title 17 of the NMC.
Public Comment: Interested persons are invited to attend this hearing and be heard regarding this matter. Written comments may be submitted to the Community Development Department prior to the time set for the hearing. You may watch the meeting from home on Charter Channel 3, Verizon Fios Channel 32, or livestream through the City’s website. If you challenge the proposed matter, you may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered prior to the public hearing.
