Norwalk Sheriff’s Station accepting applications for civilian volunteers

NORWALK – The Norwalk Sheriff Station is currently seeking adults ages 21 and up to become part of its Civilian Volunteer Program.

 

Volunteers serve the station at the Norwalk Courthouse, assist at community events and at various assignments at both the Norwalk Station and Whittier Substation.

 

Applicants will need to clear a background and Live Scan process to become a volunteer. Once accepted to the program, volunteers will have to purchase their own uniform for $150 and contribute a minimum of 16 hours per month to remain active in the program.
