Parents are welcome to bring their children to an afternoon of mud-themed activities, including digging through the adobe soil, seeing and touching insects that live in the local soil, throwing a clay pot, and playing mud-related games.
This muddy, wacky event will be held on Sunday, July 9 from 12:30-4:30 p.m.at Rancho Los Cerritos Historic Site.
For those who prefer to stay neat and tidy, activities including fossil making, Mud Mania trivia, and paper crafts. Live bluegrass music will accompany the event.
Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-12; 3 and under are free. Admission includes access to all of the festival’s activities. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Guests at Mud Mania are required to park in the overflow lot across from the entrance or on the street; carpooling is desirable.
