STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS – Norwalk’s city manager, Mike Egan, will join Mayor Mike Mendez and members of city council on Friday, March 3 to deliver this year’s “State of the City” address.
The event, which is being held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Norwalk, also includes reports from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce.
Doors open at 11 a.m., with the program beginning at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $45 and must be purchased by Monday, Feb. 27.
Each year, the “State of the City” event raises funds for organizations aimed at helping Norwalk families facing crisis. This year, the Norwalk Community Coordinating Council hopes to donate $15,000 to help stock the city’s Food Pantry and provide support for programs such as Our Place Housing Solutions, Helpline Youth Counseling and the Children’s Dental Clinic.
