NORWALK – A suspect in a fatal Norwalk stabbing earlier this month was arrested Tuesday, sheriff’s officials announced.
Matthew Gonzales, 43, turned himself in at the Pico Rivera Sheriff’s Station, authorities said.
Gonzales was named the prime suspect in a May 11 stabbing that occurred on the 14400 block of Pioneer Boulevard.
A week later, on May 18, Gonzales is accused of pointing a knife at someone near Leibacher Avenue and Hayford Street. He escaped before sheriff’s deputies could arrest him.
Authorities described Gonzales as a transient whose primary method of transportation was a bicycle.
